Consultancy to provide rapid essential business training and capacitation to 9 farming and solid waste management investees from the Southwest State and Banaadir Region. We trained the investees on team development, strategy, marketing, sales, finance, legal, and human resources, and offered mentorship post-training to help them maximise their success.
Taloford was contracted to lead the development of the Fiscal Decentralisation Policy for Galmudug State. We worked with the Galmudug State House, Ministries of Interior and Finance, and the Auditor General in producing this policy, which outlines the vision, objectives, guiding principles, and specific strategies and interventions for enhancing fiscal decentralisation in the state.

Co-investigator of the EU-funded Somalia Stratcom project that provided an understanding of the capacity and effectiveness of the Federal Government of Somalia’s strategic communications capacity to counter Al Shabaab’s influence and reinforce FGS’s legitimacy and authority in the newly liberated areas.
Taloford was commissioned by the Somalia Investment Promotion Agency to undertake an Energy Assessment Study. We assessed the electricity production context in 10 different cities across Somalia and produced reports and data necessary to support and facilitate renewable and solar energy investments in the identified cities.
Taloford was commissioned by the FGS Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation to assess interministerial coordination and collaboration in Somalia’s stabilisation and early recovery sector.
Taloford was awarded a multi-year Somalia Economic Productive Sectors Research project by Hormuud Telecom. The project involves:
i) conducting research and providing strategic advice/briefings to the corporate leadership on Somalia’s productive economic sectors and the role of the private sector in promoting them, and
ii) providing strategic investment advise to the financial institutions associated with the group on key investment opportunities and challenges in the country’s productive sector.
